On Sunday January 30, 2005 CBS aired a Hallmark Hall of Fame Presentation of The Magic of Ordinary Days starring Keri Russell, Skeet Ulrich, and Mare Winningham.  The film turned out to be the highest-rated movie on any network since the 2001-2 season, watched by 18.7 million viewers.  Almost immediately fans of the movie began to clamor for more, and plans for a sequel were soon in the making. As of early 2009, the screenplay for a sequel has been written and approved.  Hallmark Hall of Fame is waiting for principal actors to become available to begin production and filming.

Some of the many movie reviews:
"Hallmark makes magic."  USA Today
"The performances make it extraordinary."  US Weekley
"Ordinary Days is no ordinary movie."  Noel Holston, Newsday
"Casts a spell but it's not magical; hypnotic is a better word."  N.Y. Daily News
"Magic has heart, brains, and texture." Lansing State Journal
"A touching story, beautifully filmed... Keri Russell and Skeet Ulrich rev up their characters."  Philadelphia  Enquirer
